No one is "demolishing basic reproductive categories." You are saying this and it's a straw man argument. We all know how sexual reproduction works and that most humans fall into the two broad categories, which make it happen.

You did mention transgender people in your second piece and, I think, folks correctly assumed you were alluding to them in your piece. There's nothing "authoritarian" about challenging people's beliefs about sex and gender to ask for some scientifically-validated nuance. True authoritarianism denies the existence of trans and non-binary people and engages in actions like, say, banning access to books on the topics, banning outward expression of identity and banning public expression of LGBTQ culture. We can look to history for very specific examples of this and it's been written about at length elsewhere and often.

If you're in agreement that we should respect people who diverge from gender norms, then I'm fine with just focusing on that. It's a lot more than can be said for those seeking to alienate and oppress our transgender and non-binary friends. That behavior is rampant in our society right now, and as someone with transgender family and friends, that's what I'm reacting to.
