Interestingly enough, here’s an example of a real free speech issue applying to an article clothing.

“The Department of Justice is waging a long-running campaign to silence members and supporters of a controversial motorcycle club from expressing their affinity with the club by displaying its logo.”

Were the Department of Justice telling folks they couldn’t wear a MAGA hat, that would truly be a free speech issue. And if that happened, I’d side with the MAGA folks on that specific right to wear their red cap, while still standing by every word I wrote above.
